Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the digital world!

My name is Bobbie Smith but you probably landed here knowing me as River~Rose Designs. I live in Missouri with my husband, Russ and my 4 children, Clarissa, Ben, Anthony and Dakota. We also have 2 cats and 2 dogs.

I have been a digital scrapbook kit designer since 2008 and scrapbooking since 2007.  When I’m not creating digitally I am creating using a plethora of supplies and a wide range of art styles. I have supplies to create everything from sewing and crochet, to stamping, paper scrapping and art journaling. I love art. Period.

I am excited to offer a wide range of digital products to fit a variety of needs and hopefully open new doors for those looking for inspiration, new techniques and so much more.

What is digital scrapbooking?

I get asked and sometimes it’s hard to answer, especially for someone who doesn’t understand computers to begin with. So, I looked it up and found, much to my delight, that someone has gone a put the information into Wikipedia! Of course, you can always ask questions that don’t get answered here and this is by no means all the answers you’ll ever want to know. It’s simple explanation that will lead up to me tell you what I do. So, in case you missed the link above, here it is again; visit the Wikipedia page all about digital scrapbooking here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_scrapbooking

What do I do?

That’s an easier question to answer. I make and sell the digital goods you’ll need to create your beautiful digital scrapbook pages. I sell these digital scrapbook kits that are download only items. Nothing you have to wait in the mail for and no shipping fees. Like the Wikipedia pages says, you download them to your computer so that you can use them over and over after purchase. You can find all my digital goods at the Sweet Shoppe Designs. Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions! You can e-mail me at river-rose@comcast.net

Digital vs. Paper

Goodness, I could go on about this but let’s just start with how “Green” using digital is instead of paper. There is literally no trash! It’s also significantly cheaper that buying a lot of paper scrapbooking supplies. Also, no cutting with scissors, not glue, no stickers, no inks, dyes or anything else you might use to get your hands and surfaces dirty with these types of crafts.

With digital, most software provides the ability to make things look completely realistic. For example, adding shadows. Yes, you can add {and edit} shadows to look very real. There are so many other things you can achieve with digital and make them look just as great or better than paper. Just have a look at this gallery and see for yourself!

So, are you ready to get started?
